Modeling Bootcamp
Source: CG FastTrack – Polymodeling Bootcamp
This project is a part of my study journey through CG FastTrack’s Polymodeling Bootcamp. Across four guided lessons, I practiced key hard-surface modeling skills by creating iconic medieval and fantasy-style assets. The focus was on clean topology, form accuracy, and realistic material presentation.
Included Models:
Shadow Helmet
A dark, menacing fantasy helmet featuring sharp shapes and stylized horns. The exercise focused on building symmetrical forms and detail through layered geometry.Vintage Keys
A set of old-style iron keys modeled with attention to beveling, repetition, and historical shapes. Lighting and material helped emphasize their worn, metallic surface.Cage with Chain
A fantasy prison cage with a broken-open door and attached chain. This model emphasized spacing, symmetry, and prop storytelling through form.Wooden Barrels
A realistic set of wooden barrels with support stands and metal bands. The goal was to practice cylindrical modeling, edge flow control, and wood/metal material contrast.
What I Focused On:
Clean poly modeling with efficient edge loops
Mastering hard-surface basics using subdivision workflow
Practicing realistic lighting and rendering
Applying metal, wood, and worn materials to tell visual stories
